The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region works to ensure equity, access, and opportunity for all the residents in the Washington metropolitan area.

Our vision is that everyone participates in the region's prosperity, and we are committed to fostering the best ideas and identifying the most effective solutions.

We are an agent of change, and our goal is impact.

The Foundation launches initiatives and carriesout responsive grantmaking to address challenges and respond to the pressing needs of our community. Our Community Investment team, experts in grantmaking and local issues, are highly knowledgeable about these issues and the most effective nonprofit organizations in the Washington metropolitan area working to effect positive change.
