Employment and Workforce Development
The Community Foundation maintains a core focus on ensuring equity, access, and opportunity for our region’s diverse communities. To this end, our efforts in the employment and workforce development are a focused area of activity across many of our major initiatives and projects.
Our 2004-05 Spirit of Giving guide highlighted 15 effective nonprofits supporting programs linked to workforce development in our region. Additionally, The Community Foundation has recently launched a new funding collaborative, the Greater Washington Workforce Development Collaborative, focused solely on funding nonprofit solutions to our region’s workforce development issues.
