Employment and Workforce Development

The Community Foundation maintains a core focus on ensuring equity, access, and opportunity for our region’s diverse communities. To this end, our efforts in employment and workforce development figure prominently across many of our major initiatives and projects.

Our 2004-05 Spirit of Giving guide highlighted 15 effective nonprofits supporting programs linked to workforce development in our region. Additionally, The Community Foundation has recently launched a new funding collaborative, the Greater Washington Workforce Development Collaborative, focused solely on funding nonprofit solutions to our region’s workforce development issues.
