While we promote charitable giving across all geographic locations, we especially encourage residents to give locally and/or regionally, helping ensure that our region is a place of opportunity for all who live here.

In our most recently complete fiscal year (April 1, 2007 - March 31, 2008) some $60 million – more than 60% of all grants made by The Community Foundation – were distributed to organizations in the Washington metropolitan area. The chart below illustrates breakdown by region.
