Recent Neighbors in Need Fund Grantees
Since its inception, the Neighbors in Need Fund has awarded a total of 1.9 million, supporting some 70 Washington-area safety net nonprofits. The most recent grant round in December 2009  focused on efforts to reform local public systems across the region that thousands of people depend on for safety net services and nonprofits.Two previous rounds awarded grants in February 2009 and September 2009, focused on support for direct service such as homeless shelters, food programs, clothing distribution, foreclosure prevention and emergency financial support.
